Will everyone end up looking the same?
I don't know how true this is, but I heard that there wasn't much armor in this game. I this true, or was it just some WoW fanboy giving me BS?
FYI I already preodered, can't wait to try out a ranger. |

I am sure they will address the dye issues in time, and no doubt more armors will be available in future expansions.
There will always be favorite builds though and people will run them, but there will also always be people who could care less about a popular build, and wear what they want for how it looks. I don't think everyone will look the same, but they definitely could add some body type variants and more faces. Considering there are no shards, the more options available to make each character unique the better. |

You also have to keep in mind, that the last couple of BWE's they added more faces etc... And we haven't even (according to Anet), seen 30% of the game. So there will probably be more customization options, you KNOW there will be in the expansions if your not happy with 1 million different variations now.
Lansign Kai Don P.S. I agree that the dye needs to really change the color of the armor. |

I am hoping that they implement a good dyeing system. Sometimes you just need to change color

LOL.. you need to be careful.. the newbs don't always know your being sarcastic. You may want to put something up in the title like Sarcastic Alert! Not that it matters to me, I simply cannot wait to get some of that tatoo armor. Guildwars~ Forget what you thought you knew about online gaming. |

Please stay on topic, or I'll be forced to wave my wand and start an avalanche that will bar all access to this thread.
As for diversity in clothing, you could always try to mix and match, as well. This article in particular explains quite well the mechanics of armor in game.. and as for purely looks, a lot of people say that mixing and matching parts of outfits look horrible, but I disagree. My monk looks quite cute, I think, with various random bits of armor. |

More armors and weapons styles are on their way. Diversity in armor hasn't been a big deal up till now because they had the actual game to worry about. I'm sure we'll begin to see more and more armors and weapons show up soon.

I think as the game progresses, then more items will be added. Like Aladdar mentioned, they worried about the game been as close to perfect as possible for release, something all the other companies should look into, instead of releasing a bugged crapfest. |

I'd much prefer to see a solid stable game at release and things like cool armor and weapon designs come later. Those would be rather easy to patch in and wouldn't effect game play.

I don't think metal takes up dye very well.
